ChemSense Download
ChemSense software was developed as part of a non-profit research project and is licensed for evaluation purposes only, without warranty or technical support. Sample curriculum activities, sample student work, and quick start guides are available.

The software requires Java 1.3 or higher, and 192 MB or more of RAM is recommended. Installers for Windows and Mac OS X are available. To download, complete the form below and accept the license terms. You will then be instructed on how to download and install the software.

Current version: 3.0.11 (7/16/08). See the Version History for a list of changes for each release.

Step One: Enter Your Information

We ask who you are and how you plan to use ChemSense for research purposes only. We will not give away your information, and you will not be put on any mailing lists.

Step Two: Select Software to Download

Select ChemSense Animator if you just want to evaluate ChemSense or construct animations but you do not have a login account. If you just came across ChemSense on the web and want to get a quick idea of what it can do, choose this. If you have been given a login account by your instructor to use ChemSense in your class, then select the ChemSense Studio Client. If you are an advanced user who is familiar with ChemSense, and you want to set up and manage ChemSense accounts for others, select the ChemSense Server.

Select an installer type:

ChemSense Animator Stand-alone Application (for anyone, no login required)
ChemSense Studio Client (supports collaboration, requires login account)
ChemSense Server (for advanced users, to host ChemSense Studio Client accounts)

Step Three: Accept the License

Check the box if you accept the license:
